Brittney and Tim exchanged their wedding vows in an abbreviated Catholic ceremony at St. Martha in Kingwood, Texas. They then boarded a party bus to make their way to a few photo spots around Houston for portraits. Big dark rain clouds seemed to follow the bus and ahead of those clouds was a wave of heat and humidity. Brittney, Tim, and their wedding party were real sports about it all and Ron was able to capture some totally rad photos of all of them. I got a little distracted with Brittney's beautiful bouquet and stunning rings and was so immersed in my attempt to photograph them that I didn't notice when everyone was on the bus waiting for me to get on. The bus driver had to flag me down.
After we finished with the portraits, the bus took us to The Petroleum Club of Houston for their reception just before the huge storm that had been following us finally hit home. For those of you who haven't been to The Petroleum Club, it is on the top floor of a skyscraper (Total Plaza) in Downtown Houston. This made riding out the storm quite an experience! Brittney and Tim's wedding reception was host to a special event that I still find myself reminiscing about two months later; Tim, Brittney's brother Presley, and Brittney's bridesmaid Megan performed a stunning rendition of one of my favorite songs: Eddie Vedder'sHard Sun. Tim played the guitar, Presley played the trombone, and Megan provided beautiful vocals.
Brittney and Tim definitely knew how to party, and I had a blast dancing right along with everyone else as I took pictures.
