Texas Farmhouse Morning of the Wedding Inspiration - Elopement Photographer - Taylor Elizabeth Photography

"It's not about perfect. It's about effort.

And when you bring that effort every single day.

That's where transformation happens.

That's how change occurs."

I had been wanting to intimately tell the story of a bride getting ready on the morning of her wedding day for a long time, but I didn't have a clue as to where to start or how to put the whole thing together. After I met Rachel of Wed & Prosper, I knew that she could make my dream a reality. And she did just that.

The getting ready portion of the wedding day is one of my all-time favorites. There is so much energy, emotion, and the strong sense of anticipation for what is to come. This is the part of the day that can tell so much of the story of the wedding day in such a short period of time. This is the part of the day where so many of my favorite in-betwen moments happen. It's the little things.

I wanted to tell the story of a bride who was getting ready for her small and intimate wedding, surrounded only by close family. As we put together our team of creative professionals, Catrina with Camel & Birdie mentioned that her sister modeled. This was perfect! It added a whole new level of authenticity to the shoot and allowed Catrina to help her little sister get into her wedding dress which made the moment all the more special.

Even though this shoot was a creative outlet for an artistic vision, I still craved a sense of realness. I live for capturing real moments, so after the scene was set by Rachel and the other creatives on the team I tried to be as unobtrusive as I would on a regular wedding day. Capturing the moments as they occurred. Catrina had brought Whataburger for Barbara, our model, who happened to be ravenous. So just like any bride would, she relished in eating this Texas staple as she was getting her hair and makeup done by the ever-talented Mariam with The Fairest One. Barbara enjoying her burger is my favorite part of our whole shoot. It's just so real!

Thank you so much to all of the incredible creatives who participated in this shoot and made my vision come to life. Y'all are all so talented and I am so lucky to have had the chance to collaborate with y'all.
