June 8th, 2016 | Senior Session | Tomball, TX

Soon after delivering Judy and Aaron the photos from their family session, Judy approached me about taking her cousin's senior portraits. I was delighted! I love to photograph seniors :) I love seeing their excitement as they embark on their transition into adulthood and the anticipation of having their whole mysterious future ahead of them.

When I first spoke with Kaylea, I asked her to tell me a bit about herself and the activities that she's been involved with in high school. She told me that she was in FFA and that she used to ride horses. She then told me about the stables where she used to ride and how a friend of hers did her senior photos there. I immediately thought, 'This is perfect!' When I was a kid, my Aunt and Uncle would treat my cousin and me to summer horseback riding camps and I missed being around horses. As a result, I'd been wanting to do a portrait session involving horses for a long time so this was quickly getting me very excited about our upcoming shoot.

I couldn't believe my luck when I met Kaylea for the first time at the stables. She looked so beautiful! This whole session was turing into a series of one 'YES!' after another :) Kaylea was a natural in front of the camera and I've always felt a sense of magic when people interact with horses; this magic was definitely present during our session.

Kaylea graduated Klein Collins High School, Class of 2016. She plans to start her education at Lone Star with the intention of transferring to SFA after completing most of the basics. The best of luck to you, Kaylea! I know that will do brilliantly! And a huge thank you to the Sewells for gifting this senior session to Kaylea :)
