A couple of months ago, I decided to reach out to some of my favorite local photographers in search of a creative community and some mentorship. One of those talented artists that I reached out to was Lauren of Lauren J. Photography (if you haven't checked her out before please do so now by following the hyperlink to her website). In her response Lauren informed me that she was moving to Arizona within the month, but she told me that I was welcome to tag along on a Spanish Moss-inspired styled bridal shoot that she was photographing. I jumped at this opportunity; I had never been a part of a styled shoot before and I couldn't wait to see how it all worked.

The collaboration involved was incredible; Saint Isabel provided the beautiful wedding gowns, Shy Myrtle supplied the ribbon, Cindy Palmer was the calligrapher, Jade Magnolia did the styling, Vintage Indulgence brought the beautiful furniture, and the lovely bloggers from Double Shot of Sass modeled for us.In addition to allowing me to tag along to get some beautiful images for my portfolio, Lauren provided wonderful mentorship. I am so grateful for the mentorship that Lauren and other photographers have provided me. It has been invaluable to me and I have learned so much from them!

Below are some of my images from the shoot featuring a mostly behind-the-scenes look of the day. If you would like to see more of the photos from the day, you can see them here.
