April 23, 2016 | After the Wedding Portrait Session

I have been friends with Brian and Julie for a while now. I met them both separately through the same mutual friends; Emily and Matt. Brian (who is also a photographer) and I actually photographed Em & Matt's wedding together at a time when I would've never imagined that I would one day be a professional photographer. Their wedding was a couple of months after I had gotten my first ever hand-me-down DSLR, and I was so green! It's thanks to their wedding that I first caught the wedding photography bug!

I remember when Brian & Julie first became a couple. It was like they had finally found their missing puzzle pieces and fit together so perfectly. They are both some of the kindest and most generous people that I know, and as a couple their compassion has no bounds. Back when I was first getting my start in wanting to pursue photography professionally, they let me take their engagement portraits during the middle of summer in the sweltering heat. They were so patient and such good sports. I will forever be grateful to them for that.

Brian and Julie got married on November 22nd, 2015, and I unfortunately missed attending their wedding as a guest due to a death in the family. I was so disappointed that I didn't get to see Julie in her dress on their wedding day, so of course I suggested an "After the Wedding" portrait session so that I could see them in their wedding-day best. And yet again, they agreed! In case you can't tell by now, they are incredibly supportive friends.

Julie and Brian, I am so grateful to have you in my life as my friends. Thank you again for letting me photograph the two of you in your newly-betrothed bliss as well as your newlywed bliss. Love y'all!
