Step 1: Your Initial Inquiry

After looking through my portfolio, pricing, and FAQ, the first step towards becoming a Minimalist Boudoir client is to submit a formal inquiry via my contact form. Once I have received your inquiry, I will then communicate with you via email to answer your questions, find the perfect date for your session, and most importantly - ensure that we're a good fit for one another stylistically.

Step 2: Booking

Once we have agreed upon a date for your session, it is time to make it official and lock in said date! To officially book your session date, I require a 50% nonrefundable retainer and a signed contract.

Step 3: Nailing Down the Specifics

Once we're officially booked, I'll send over my recommendations for the location for your session, hair and makeup artists, and my favorite places to shop for lingerie. I'll also send over my Boudoir Guide, which is full of helpful tips for preparing for your session. After deciding on the perfect location and time for your session together, if we end up agreeing on a rental studio or hotel, you will reserve said space for our session. I will be there for you to help, offer feedback, and answer any questions you may have for me.

Step 4: Session Day!

Yay! It's session day! Whenever possible, I LOVE to treat my clients to a pre-session drink in the hours before our session together. This helps break the ice and lets us get to know each other a bit before diving into the actual session. During the session, we'll have so much fun and will listen to an awesome playlist that I've carefully put together to help set the tone for our session.

Step 5: Editing + Delivery

After your session I will import and back-up your photos from your session. I will then go through all the photos and pick out the absolute best images for your final gallery. I will then hand-edit every single one of those selected images for color, brightness, contrast, composition, and overall aesthetic. Within about four weeks of your session date, I will then deliver your full edited online gallery to you. 

Step 6: Retouching

While I personally believe that the little "imperfections" we all think that we have are part of what makes us all beautiful and unique, I also understand as a woman how insecure we can feel about these things. That's why I do offer some minimal retouching for my clients that want it. Please see my FAQ page for information on the types of retouching that I do and do not offer to my clients. Each retouching request is priced on a case-by-case basis. The retouching process can take up to 2 weeks.

Step 7: Ordering Prints/Books/Albums

Upon delivery of your online gallery, take some time to soak-in your photos. Pick out your favorites and decide how you want to showcase your top picks. When I did my boudoir session for my husband, I chose to have 4x6 prints made of my favorite images and then gifted them to my husband in a beautiful wooden keepsake box. A lot of my clients love to have albums or photo books made. I offer personal printing rights for all of my sessions, but I understand that most of my clients will want to invest in the absolute best products. Therefore I offer top quality prints, books, and albums for my clients. Depending on the product, delivery times are usually around 3-6 weeks.
