REAL

REAL is the word. I love to capture real moments and to be as true to them as I can. I love to get to know my clients so that I can document your authentic selves and genuinely show who you are. To do this, I find it best to keep things as natural as possible. Let's capture what you actually do; whether that be hiking and exploring, drinking coffee or a cocktail at your favorite local joint "where everybody knows your name", hanging out at home, visiting the place where you first met/went on your first date/got engaged, etc. Basically, I want to capture YOU.

Memories have always been my most cherished possessions; not just my own memories, but the memories of others as well. As a kid, I loved to flip through other families' photo albums when I would visit their homes. I was getting a glimpse of their most cherished moments, and I couldn't help creating stories to go with the photographs in my mind and imagining what their memories were when they looked at these captured moments. One of the most surprising experiences that I've had since becoming a photographer is having other people tell me some of their biggest regrets after losing a loved one; that they wish they had more pictures to remember them by. After hearing these same regrets from so many sources and also having that regret after unexpectedly losing someone myself, I became an even bigger advocate of taking the time to photograph the important people in our lives. Capturing moments and turning them into memories is my ultimate purpose in what I do.
